Burglary near you - Scar Top Road, Keighley BD22

Dear Resident

You are receiving this because you live in the vicinity of a burglary that occurred on Scar Top Road, Keighley. The burglary occurred sometime between 7pm on 16/08/2026 and 9am on 17/08/2026. The unidentified suspect/s used a blow torch and then snapped the cylinder lock allowing entry to an annex at the address. They then located and made off with an electronically assisted pedal cycle. 

Firstly if you have CCTV or a doorbell camera please check it between (times) to check if you had any activations. Crime occurrence 13260469452 refers. 

Secondly if you have a door with a cylinder lock (composite or UPVC doors mainly) please check the lock. 

Make sure you are satisfied with the rating and is fitted correctly. The locks we recommend have 3 stars written on the front (see image) and are TS007 or SS312 rated. Many firms offer these anti-snap locks. Whilst we do not wish to scare anyone, it is always good to review your own security, and report anything suspicious to the Police.
